Screepub 0.10.0
Screepub 0.10.0
Screepub now needs a Mac with Apple silicon: on an Intel Mac, 0.9.0 is the last version, and it keeps working. The pictures in your script now come through into the book.
Your script's pictures, in the book
- Storyboards and photos stay where they sat. Panels, reference
photos and lookbook pages used to be dropped, leaving only the text
around them. Now they appear in place. Turn off Pictures from the
script in Settings for a smaller file. - A designed title page becomes the cover. A full-page title card at
the front now shows as the book's cover in your library, instead of a
plain one. Turn off Title card as the cover to keep it as the first
page. - Saved Fountain files are clean. A Fountain file you saved for a
screenwriting app used to carry Screepub's own hidden notes. Now it
leaves them behind.
Good to know
- Pictures, the cover, FDX files, Eject on Windows and Linux, and the
device report buttons are marked Beta: they work in our tests, but
haven't been tried widely yet. Tell us how it goes. - Most e-ink screens are greyscale, so a color picture reads as black and
white. The Kindle file Screepub makes without Calibre leaves pictures out
for now. - On an Intel Mac with the older Mac app, choose Not Now when this update
is offered: it will not open there. Download Screepub 0.9.0 from its
release page instead.
Mac: download Screepub-macOS.dmg (notarized, for Macs with Apple silicon, macOS 13 or later), open it, drag Screepub to Applications, and double-click. Its SHA-256 is in SHA256SUMS-app.
