Fixes

  • Preserve interrupted association output even when moving it to .partial fails, and report the surviving file's path.
  • Check the selected LOCO chromosome batch against available RAM after genotype statistics, before allocating matrices.
  • Reject mismatched association schemas for empty files and for datasets whose mutable rows no longer match their declared mode.
  • Correct memory accounting for native workspaces and use the planned eigen driver throughout a run.
  • Strengthen regression coverage for eigenvector lifetimes and genotype reuse.

Python and native API changes

load_gemma_assoc returns an AssocDataset sequence with explicit mode metadata. Iteration, indexing, and slicing remain supported. Comparison raises ValueError for incompatible schemas.

This release also includes the workspace, dispatch, and memory-planning API changes documented in the changelog, including native ABI_VERSION 21. Code calling those lower-level APIs should follow the updated signatures.

See CHANGELOG.md for the complete changes.

Installation

pip install --upgrade jamma==8.0.2

The release workflow publishes baseline Linux x86_64 and macOS arm64 wheels for CPython 3.11–3.14, plus the source distribution, to PyPI. AVX2 Linux wheels are attached to this GitHub release separately.
