새 기능

• 클릭 한 번. ⌃⌥L 다음 클릭하면 포인터 아래 글의 모양으로 렌즈가 놓입니다. 문단은 그 단의 너비로, 단이 없는 자리(채팅 스레드, 표, 제목과 그 앞줄)는 그 덩어리의 모양으로 잡습니다. 가장자리를 가리키면 단 전체를 잡습니다. 페이지를 읽는 동안에는 빈 상자를 그리지 않고, 윤곽은 그 창 안에만 있습니다. 윤곽이 새 글에 붙으면 트랙패드가 한 번 울립니다.
• 단에 맞추기. 테두리를 두 번 클릭하면 렌즈가 그 단의 너비에 맞습니다. 모서리를 끌다 단 가장자리에 닿으면 거기에 붙고, 트랙패드가 한 번 울립니다. ⌘를 누른 채 끌면 자유롭게 놓입니다. 손을 뗀 자리가 다른 글이면 그 글의 모양을 따라갑니다. 기본으로 켜져 있습니다.
• 새 렌즈 자동 맞춤. 설정에서 켜면, 새로 놓은 렌즈가 읽기를 마친 뒤 자른 단의 너비로 자랍니다. 기본은 꺼져 있습니다. 렌즈마다 따로 끌 수 있습니다.
• 테두리. 렌즈를 늘리고 줄이고 단에 맞추는 동안, 테두리가 사각형으로 남지 않고 가장자리가 글 모양을 따라 휘었다가 자리에 놓입니다. 저전력 모드에서는 그 움직임을 멈추고 바로 놓습니다.
• 텍스트 번역. 메뉴 막대 패널의 텍스트 번역…, 서비스 메뉴의 Mwoyeo로 번역, 단축어 앱의 텍스트 번역 동작이 생겼습니다. 창은 방금 쓰던 앱의 프로필을 따라가고, 팝업에서 다른 프로필을 고를 수 있습니다. Apple 번역은 입력을 멈추면 바로 번역하고, 직접 추가한 엔진은 ⌘↩로 보냅니다.
• 게임과 자막. 렌즈 안에서 읽지 않는 영역을 지정하면 HUD나 타이머처럼 그 칸은 읽지도 덮어 그리지도 않습니다. 지난 줄 남기기는 렌즈를 떠난 줄을 아래에 잠깐 남겨 둡니다. 화면이 계속 움직이는 동안에는 바뀐 띠만 다시 읽습니다.

고친 점

• 크기를 바꾸면 번역이 사라지던 문제. 렌즈를 늘리거나 줄이면 이미 그린 글이 지워졌다가 다시 그려졌습니다. 이제 그리고 있던 번역을 유지한 채, 새로 드러난 부분만 읽습니다. 가만히 있는 페이지는 크기를 맞춘 뒤 같은 화면을 반복해서 읽지 않습니다.
• 렌즈가 문단보다 짧게 잘리던 문제. 문단이 렌즈 안에 있는데도 좌우와 아래가 잘리고, 옆 단은 앞부분만 번역되던 경우를 고쳤습니다. 렌즈에 들어온 줄은 줄 단위로 보이고, 단의 끝에 맞춰 다시 배치됩니다. 줄 끝 하이픈으로 나뉜 단어는 한 단어로 보내고, 다음 줄로 넘어간 한두 글자는 그 문단에 붙여 읽습니다. 이름의 대소문자는 원문 그대로 둡니다.
• 움직이는 화면의 HUD. HUD의 글이 번역되지 않거나, 그림 설명과 목록 제목을 이름표로 보고 건너뛰던 문제를 고쳤습니다. 장면이 움직이는 동안 HUD는 1.5초에 한 번 읽습니다.
• 원문 자동. 원문이 자동일 때, 확실히 읽힌 줄들로 그 페이지의 글자를 정하고 최근 줄을 따라갑니다.
• 메뉴 막대 아이콘이 가려질 때. Mwoyeo를 다시 실행하면 같은 패널이 창으로 열립니다.

One click places the lens, and it fits the column. A resize keeps the translation already drawn, and a game's words are read.

New

• One click. After ⌃⌥L, a click places the lens in the shape of the text under the pointer. A paragraph takes its column's width. Where there is no column (a chat thread, a table, a heading with the line that leads it), the lens takes that group's shape. The margin means the whole column. While the page is still being read, no empty box is drawn, and the outline stays inside its window. The trackpad ticks once when the outline takes a new shape.
• Fit to Column. Double-click the edge and the lens fits that column's width. Drag a corner to a column edge and it snaps there, with one trackpad tick. Hold ⌘ to place it freely. Let go over other text and the lens takes that text's shape. On by default.
• Auto Fit new lenses. Turn it on in Settings and a new lens grows to the column it cuts, once the read has settled. Off by default. Each lens can turn it off on its own.
• The edge. While a lens grows, shrinks, or fits a column, the edge does not stay a rectangle: it bows toward the text and then rests. In Low Power Mode it skips that motion and rests at once.
• Translate Text. The menu bar panel's Translate Text…, the Services item Translate with Mwoyeo, and a Shortcuts Translate Text action. The window follows the profile of the app you just used, and the pop-up can pick another. Apple translates when you pause; an added engine sends on ⌘↩.
• Games and subtitles. An ignored region inside a lens is not read and not drawn over, for a HUD or a timer. Keep Recent Lines holds a line under the lens for a moment after it leaves. While the picture keeps moving, only the band that changed is read again.

Fixed

• A resize cleared the translation. Growing or shrinking a lens erased what was drawn and painted it again. The translation stays, and only the part the lens newly covers is read. A still page is not read over and over after the size settles.
• The lens cut a paragraph short. A paragraph inside the lens could lose its sides and its last line, and the next column was translated from its first words only. Lines inside the lens now show whole, and the text is laid out again to the column's end. A word split by a hyphen at a line end is sent whole, a wrap of one to three characters stays with its paragraph, and a name keeps the capitals it had.
• HUD text on a moving picture. HUD words went untranslated, and a figure caption or a list heading was skipped as a label. A moving scene's HUD is read once every 1.5 seconds.
• Auto source. With the source set to Auto, the page's writing is taken from the lines the recognizer is sure of, and it follows the recent lines.
• A hidden menu bar icon. Open Mwoyeo again and the same panel opens as a window.
