Changed

  • Default versions are now openly licensed: Portuguese uses the Open Nova Bíblia Viva (onbv), English the Berean Standard Bible (bsb), Spanish the Reina-Valera 1909 (rvr1909).
  • Automatic migration: sites with a version that the Midvash Bible API no longer distributes (NVT, NVI, ARA, NLT, NTV, NIV, ESV…) switch to the free version in the same language. Saved settings, widgets, blocks and shortcodes keep working with no action needed.

Added

  • Attribution under the text: tooltips, the block and the verse of the day show the version's copyright line returned by the API, as open licenses like CC BY-SA require.

Fixed

  • scripts/sync-books.ts pointed to a file that no longer exists.
