Beta Test: Hysteresis + Sensor Offset

Pre-release

@mikooomich mikooomich released this 21 Jun 23:52

Features

  1. Add configurable hysteresis values
  • Configurable where smart fan levels are
  1. Add configurable sensor offset disable range
  • A range where offset will not be applied
  1. Both of these are adjustable in config, and disabled by default.

Configs

A modified config (with my tuning for this laptop) has been provided alongside the default config. To use my config, rename the file TPFanControl.ini_x1e_g2 to TPFanControl.ini, and overwrite the default config. My config has both of these features enabled.

This release works on my machine, I make no guarantee for yours.

Based on: Shuzhengz@7ec6842
Notes

  • Reduce APS (GPU) throttling by prioritizing over CPU temp until APS temperature falls below defined threshold.
  • Keep fans running on system idle for longer if APS is running, This avoids constant on/off behaviour.
  • Settings are tweaked with X1E G2 in mind. The above settings are also configurable in .ini config.
