Download Folio.zip, unzip, and drag Folio.app into Applications. It runs on macOS 14 or later, Apple Silicon or Intel.

New in 0.2:

  • Arrow keys and space move through pages; ⌘[ and ⌘] go back and forward between places you've jumped to.
  • A sheet of every keyboard shortcut on first launch, and on ? at any time.
  • Hover over a citation or footnote to preview what it points to.
  • Notes sit in a circle in the margin; select, press h to highlight and n to add a note.
  • e copies all highlights and notes as Markdown; ⇧⌘E saves them to a file.
  • Sepia and night themes (b).

This build is signed but not yet notarized by Apple, so the first time you open it go to System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. A notarized copy will replace it shortly. See the README for details.
