  • Dual-source workspace sync (content mirror): WorkspaceManager accepts a content_backend_factory that provisions a second FsspecSyncBackend addressing a plain file tree per run. Workspace.materialize_content() restores the content tree into the local workspace at open (skipping unchanged files by hash); CheckpointManager mirrors dirty-file writes and deletions back to the content tree at checkpoint time, so non-engine readers can list/read the latest workspace state directly without parsing manifests.
