Herdrm has a new bundle ID: sb.moe.herdrm (it was dev.bybee.herdrm).
This update installs over the old app as usual, and Herdrm copies your
settings over on its first launch. macOS may ask once whether Herdrm can use
the passwords and keys it saved before: choose Always Allow. It may also ask
for notification permission again.

Herdrm now supports Herdrm for iOS. Pair your iPhone from Settings →
iPhone, then reach this Mac's agents and terminals from the phone on any
network, end-to-end encrypted.

Added

  • Reach your Mac from iPhone on any network. Turn on Settings → iPhone on
the Mac and scan the code with Herdrm on iPhone (or the Camera app): the
phone pairs and connects through Herdrm's relay, without a public IP, port
forwarding or SSH setup on the phone. The session is end-to-end encrypted
(Noise IKpsk2); the relay can't read it. Pairing installs the phone's SSH key
restricted to connections through the relay, and Settings → iPhone lists and
removes paired phones. See docs/RELAY.md. A Mac with a public address can
give it in Settings → iPhone: the phone then connects directly and uses the
    relay only as a fallback.
  • iOS: SSH keys for servers you reach directly. Add Device → Direct (IP or
hostname) signs in with your own private keys: import them under Keys (paste
or file; OpenSSH or PEM, Ed25519, ECDSA or RSA, with or without a
passphrase), or add one right from Add Device. Automatic tries the key that
worked for that server last, then the rest, the way OpenSSH does. Keys stay
in this iPhone's Keychain only (no iCloud, no other device), are never shown
again after import, and by default need Face ID before use.
  • iOS: agents open as a chat. An agent's screen on the phone defaults to a
Chat tab: your prompts, the agent's replies, and each tool call as a compact
row you can expand for its input and result. The live Terminal is one tap
away in the same screen. Works for Claude Code and (best effort) Codex, read
from the agent's own transcript on the device over SSH.
  • iOS: answer an agent's questions with a tap. When Claude Code stops on a
permission prompt, an AskUserQuestion question, or plan approval, the chat
shows the question with one button per option; options that take words
("Type something.", "Tell Claude what to change") open a text field.
Tapping sends the keys the agent's terminal expects, and the card goes away
once the agent moves on. Codex approval prompts get the same card.
  • iOS: start agents and terminals from the phone. The + button on a
space's screen starts a new agent (Claude and Codex first, every other herdr
agent under More Agents) or a new terminal in that space, and opens it.

Changed

  • New bundle ID sb.moe.herdrm for the Mac app (and sb.moe.herdrm-ios
    for iOS). Settings carry over from dev.bybee.herdrm on first launch;
Keychain items keep their names, so saved passwords, SSH keys and paired
    iPhones stay.
  • iOS: Server → Space → Agent. The phone follows the Mac's layout: pick a
server, then one of its spaces, then an agent (or a terminal) in it.

Fixed

  • iOS: switching apps no longer drops the connection. Coming back to
Herdrm keeps the existing session (and its open terminal) when it still
answers, and reconnects only when it doesn't. The app also keeps the
connection up for a short while in the background.
