• Fixed stiff corner pulls: removed a crossing constraint that blocked local folding. Decorative corners now fold; dragging the central area moves the rug. No Shift key is needed.
• Reduced desktop simulation cost with a 13 × 9 cloth mesh. Continuous-twist solver time measured about 5.06 ms per 1/120-second update versus 97.28 ms in the rejected 0.2.0 candidate. These are solver measurements, not rendered FPS.
• Fixed window-placement paths that could raise the rug over applications while Explorer changes its desktop window order. Show/restore now preserves z-order.
• Retained wheel twisting, layered contact handling, and activation through Windows Settings → Themes. No Start/Desktop shortcuts, taskbar button, or tray icon.

Download MLMDesktop-Setup-0.2.1.exe for installation. The ZIP contains developer binaries. This is a regular public release.

Validation: physics/input suites and native-placement regression tests passed. Setup payloads and installed files were verified by SHA-256; version 0.2.1 is installed and active on the development PC. The overlay was verified immediately above the desktop. The intermittent Explorer flash still needs manual reproduction testing. Complex folds may retain some contact creep; fine fold detail is reduced by the smaller simulation mesh. See docs/VALIDATION.md and docs/physics-baseline.md for measured limits.

• Added automatic recovery of the installed theme watcher through a hidden scheduled task, alongside the existing logon startup entry.
• Setup registers the watcher task; uninstall removes it. Development builds do not register themselves.
• Updated installer and package version to 0.1.1.

Windows 10/11 x64, .NET Framework 4.8. Download Setup for normal installation; the ZIP contains developer binaries. Enable through Settings → Personalization → Themes → MLM Desktop.

Validation: build successful, all 17 existing regression assertions passed, all five installer payload files verified by SHA-256. Scheduled-task recovery and uninstall were not exercised in this release run. Known cloth/desktop acceptance limitations remain documented in README and docs/VALIDATION.md. Binaries are unsigned.

Install Setup, then choose MLM Desktop in Windows Settings → Personalization → Themes. Choose another theme to disable the rug. No Start/desktop shortcut, tray icon, or normal taskbar button. Drag the center to move; drag an edge/corner to fold; double-click to flatten. No Shift required.

Includes layer-separation correction for the tested fold. Extreme repeated/fast folds may still intersect. Primary-monitor support; full native-icon interaction and Windows/DPI matrix need further acceptance testing. Unsigned preview.
