[2.5.0] — 2026-09-15

Kernel 2.2.0; existing framework rule and schema revisions remain unchanged.

Fixed

  • The bundled helper documentation links to this release's migration guide,
avoiding a relative link to a directory absent from initialized projects.
  • First-run regression checks track the current package identity while retaining
    the historical v2.4.0 setup contract.

Added

  • An optional, read-only Git working-directory check reports uncommitted
decisions.jsonl, JOURNAL.md and LESSONS.md on the configured default
branch. It includes staged, unstaged, deleted, untracked and ignored logs.
  • Explicit default-branch selection or local origin/HEAD discovery, with
distinct clean, skipped, pending-state and inspection-error outcomes.
  • Existing v2.x adoption guidance for history preservation, union attribute
integration, active-branch reconciliation and semantic merge limitations.

Compatibility

  • Portable state validation remains independent of Git. The optional helper
uses Python's standard library and invokes Git only when explicitly run.
  • Non-default branches, detached HEAD and environments without Git report an
explicit skip; a skip does not prove that another default-branch working
directory is clean. The helper performs no writes, commits, stashes or fetches.
  • Use it at local session close or in an existing pre-push hook. Fresh CI
checkouts cannot inspect uncommitted work left on another machine.
  • Existing project configuration, logs and actor-local state are preserved
by the released updater; no handoff or decision schema migration is required.
