Envy-Diamond-2 (ED2) v1.0.2 introduces a completely streamlined 1-click installation experience for Windows users, full out-of-the-box compatibility with Capcom RE Engine titles (including Resident Evil Requiem), universal DirectX 12 swapchain stability, and an upgraded 60-second TDR timeout fix.

🚀 What's New in v1.0.2

  • 🖱️ 1-Click Game Installer (Install_Game_Admin.bat):

    • No PowerShell knowledge required! Auto-elevates with Administrator privileges (UAC).
    • Prompt window allows you to simply paste, type, or drag and drop your game directory into the terminal.
    • You can also drag and drop the game folder directly onto Install_Game_Admin.bat in Windows Explorer!

  • ⚡ 1-Click TDR Configuration (Fix_TDR_Admin.bat):

    • Auto-elevating batch script that sets Windows GPU driver timeouts to safe 60-second limits (TdrDelay = 60s, TdrDdiDelay = 60s).
    • Eliminates 0x887a0006 (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG) crashes during heavy neural shader compilation on AMD RDNA 3/4 hardware.

  • 🧟 Capcom RE Engine Support (Resident Evil Requiem / BIOHAZARD requiem):

    • Auto-detection of RE Engine titles during installation.
    • Defaults automatically to version.dll proxy to eliminate early DXGI swapchain initialization traps.
    • Tuned for Monolithic REFramework (dinput8.dll) compatibility with zero root signature collisions.
    • In-game hotkey separation: REFramework uses Insert (VK_INSERT), OptiScaler uses Home (VK_HOME / 0x24).
    • Blocks invasive Steam/Epic overlays (DisableOverlays=true) to prevent memory corruption crashes.

  • 🏛️ Universal DX12 Swapchain Resize Stability:

    • Enforces SkipResizeBuffers=false, PreserveSwapChain=false, ModifyBufferState=true, and ModifySCIndex=true across all profiles.
    • Completely fixes black-screen and mouse-cursor crashes when transitioning from fixed-resolution intro videos to 3D main menus across all DX12 engines.

  • 🛡️ EnvyDynamicPacing.asi v2.0:

    • Universal proxy detection: automatically finds and patches OptiScaler under version.dll, dxgi.dll, or standalone configurations.
    • Non-blocking retry loops to prevent game startup freezes while applying the digital bottomless pit budget freezer.

📥 1-Click Quick Installation

  1. Download and extract Envy-Diamond-2-v1.0.2.zip.
  2. Double-click Fix_TDR_Admin.bat (accept the UAC administrator prompt) and restart your PC (only needed once).
  3. Double-click Install_Game_Admin.bat, drag or paste your game folder path into the window, and press Enter:
    • RE Engine Example: E:\Steam\steamapps\common\RESIDENT EVIL requiem BIOHAZARD requiem
    • Unreal Engine Example: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64
  4. Launch the game, select DLSS in the graphics settings (tunneling through FSR 3.1 + AmdLook), and enjoy next-generation visual fidelity!
