ganjineh 0.1.2 — remove old-name compatibility

Choose a tag to compare

@mrzroot mrzroot released this 26 Oct 05:11

Why this release

0.1.1 renamed the project from the misspelled gonjineh to ganjineh and kept the old names working through aliases and migrations. Nobody had installed 0.1.0 yet, so that compatibility code only added things to maintain and a second name to explain. 0.1.2 removes it.

Removed

  • the gonjineh command and the shim package
  • GONJINEH_* environment fallbacks and the ~/.gonjineh/ home
  • .gonjineh.json handling and the migration of old instruction blocks, hooks, MCP entries and Codex config
  • the gonjineh:off privacy marker (ganjineh:off, #private and #نهان remain)

If you installed 0.1.0, reinstall with ganjineh init.

Tests

  • 100 tests (the compatibility tests are gone) and the same 9 real-CLI end-to-end checks against mock APIs. No real model was used.
  • tests/e2e and the shared test helpers were rewritten for readability, behavior unchanged. ruff config added for the tests.

v0.1.1: renamed to ganjineh

Choose a tag to compare

@mrzroot mrzroot released this 25 Oct 20:56

Renamed: gonjineh → ganjineh. The Persian word گنجینه is pronounced "ganjineh". Everything now uses the right spelling.

  • Repo mrzroot/ganjineh (the old mrzroot/gonjineh URL redirects), site https://mrzroot.github.io/ganjineh/ (the old /gonjineh/ path redirects).
  • Command ganjineh, package ganjineh, MCP server ganjineh, env vars GANJINEH_*, config .ganjineh.json, ~/.ganjineh/, .ganjinehignore.
  • Old names still work: gonjineh command (prints a one-line notice), GONJINEH_* env vars, .gonjineh.json, ~/.gonjineh/, .brainignore, gonjineh:off. Run ganjineh init once in a project to migrate old instruction blocks, hooks, MCP entries, Cursor rule file and Codex config in place.
  • README intro rewritten in plain language (EN + FA).
  • 109 tests pass (99 old + 10 migration tests); the 9-check e2e against the real Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLIs (mock APIs) still passes 9/9.

Honest status (unchanged): no live model session with a real API key was run; Gemini chat parsing, Cursor and Copilot are unverified (config files only); Linux only; no CI.

v0.1.0 (published as "gonjineh")

Choose a tag to compare

@mrzroot mrzroot released this 25 Oct 19:38

Renamed in v0.1.1: the correct spelling is ganjineh (گنجینه is pronounced "ganjineh"). This release was published as "gonjineh" by mistake.

First public release of ganjineh (گنجینه): git-native shared memory for a team's AI coding agents.

  • Hook-captured (Claude Code, Codex) · LLM-free digest · mandatory secret scrubber · plain markdown in your own git repo · local BM25 search with Persian normalization · MCP server. Python stdlib only, no server.
  • 99 unit/integration tests; a 9-check e2e with the real Claude Code 2.1.197, Codex 0.164.0 and Gemini CLI 0.65.0 against mock APIs.

Honest status: no live model session with a real API key was run; Gemini chat-file parsing, Cursor and Copilot are unverified (config files only); Linux only; no CI (publishing token lacked the workflow scope). See docs/VERIFICATION.md and NOVELTY.md (this space has several other projects, gitmem being the closest).
