Migration Instructions for Linux and macOS

Before running this version for the first time, update the permissions for the MWC Node data directory.

When using the default data directory, run the following commands in a terminal:

find ~/.mwc -type d -exec chmod 700 {} +
find ~/.mwc -type f -exec chmod 600 {} +

These commands set:

• Directories to owner-only read, write, and execute permissions.
• Files to owner-only read and write permissions.

When using a custom data directory instead of ~/.mwc, replace ~/.mwc in both commands with the path to your data directory.

For Miners

If you are miner, please note that in current version Tor is enabled by default. You might still want to run the node with direct IP connection. To disable tor, update .mwc/main/mwc-node.toml with
