Barricade Creator

The Barricade Creator tool allows you to place breakable barricades into your map that zombies will have to break through to get in. Barricades block players from passing through, even when fully broken, but allows zombies to pass once it has no planks left. Players can hold E on it to repair the barricade, gaining 10 points per plank repaired. The barricade has a default max of 6 planks. Barricades can be set to not have planks and to trigger a climbing animation on passing zombies. The tool does not require Advanced Mode and does not have any extra options when Advanced Mode is enabled. The fences holding the planks are only visible in Creative Mode.

Interface and Options

The Barricade Creator tool has 2 options. It gets no extra options from Advanced Mode.

  • Has Planks?

When enabled, the barricade will have planks that zombies need to break before passing through. When disabled, they will not have any planks and will always let Zombies through but block players.

  • Jump Animations?

When set, once all planks (if any) have been broken, zombies will perform a climbing animation while passing through. They will also be nocollided for this duration, enabling them to climb through props. It also causes all planks to be placed on the upper half of the fence. It does not come with props, you need to place those yourself.

Tool and Controls

  • Left Click: Create a Barricade at the location you're aiming at.
  • Right Click: Remove the Barricade you're looking at.

Tips and Tricks

  • Creating barricades with no planks but that trigger jump animations can make zombies climb over stuff that otherwise couldn't contain a barricade. You can use this to create shortcuts for zombies.
  • Creating barricades with no planks and no animations will make them act like invisible walls that Zombies can pass, but not players.
  • Since zombies are fully nocollided during their climbing animation, you can set up any set of props for them to climb over.
  • If you use an invisible wall with your barricades, make sure the fence isn't completely enveloped by the invisible wall or else the player won't be able to repair the barricade.

Using a combination of a nocollided prop as decoration, a very thin invisible wall, and a barricade with no planks, a good zombie shortcut can be made.
