NAIF Gravity MCP Doctor v0.3.1 — PyPI/npm discovery refresh
NAIF Gravity MCP Doctor v0.3.1 — clearer PyPI/npm listings
This is a documentation and package-discovery update to help developers find and understand the existing free MCP diagnostic.
Changes
- Lead with real troubleshooting intents: MCP server timeout, initialize, tools/list, JSON-RPC and Streamable HTTP.
- Prominent official NAIF Gravity, free MCP guides, Arabic guides, npm and PyPI links.
- Copyable install commands and a short truthful diagnostic walkthrough.
- Honest boundaries: the npm launcher needs Python 3.10+, diagnostics do not repair or execute tools and report-reading is offline.
- Updated relevant PyPI/npm package metadata, searchable keywords and public documentation links.
- Corrected old README wording saying the package was unpublished, and repaired repository-relative links in package descriptions.
- No changes to the executable diagnostic, no dependency or install-hook additions, no production checkout, trading bot or server modifications.
Verification
- All 39 original Python and 4 npm launcher tests passed.
- Python wheel/source and npm tarball built successfully.
- Python metadata validation passed with the standard twine check tool.
- GitHub Actions test-and-build succeeded on PR #2.
Registry publishing
This GitHub release includes locally verified distribution archives. PyPI and npm receive v0.3.1 only after their respective registered publishing flows and verification. Do not infer that uploading these GitHub assets automatically updates either registry. The previous registry release v0.3.0 remains installable until updates complete.
When the registry publishes the update, use the ordinary pip upgrade or npm install. The npm launcher requires Python 3.10+.
No ranking or search-index position is guaranteed.
NAIF Gravity MCP Doctor v0.3.0 — portable Error Passport
NAIF Gravity MCP Doctor v0.3.0 — portable Error Passport
A free, offline-first MCP Streamable HTTP discovery diagnostic that outputs a sanitized NAIF Error Passport for human developers and AI-assisted workflows.
Distribution build
- Python: built wheel and source archive for
naif-gravity-mcp-doctor, Python >=3.10, no runtime Python package dependencies. - npm: built package archive for
naif-gravity-mcp-doctor. Its local Node.js launcher requires Python >=3.10 on PATH. No install hooks, telemetry or hidden uploads. - The same Python validator underpins the original CLI, GitHub composite Action, and both package build paths.
- Added a manual-only OIDC release workflow; no automatic registry publishing is enabled.
Safety
- The default
--reportpath is fully offline. - Optional authorized probes require an explicit endpoint and
--authorized; no tools/call, automatic repair, checkout or payments. - No customer logs, credential-bearing URLs, telemetry or remote issue posting.
- Synthetic examples and fixed-source tests verified both language entry points.
Important publishing status
These artifacts are attached to the GitHub release, not automatically uploaded to PyPI, npm or GitHub Marketplace. The PyPI/npm project names remain unconfirmed until an authorized publisher account configures them and verifies the official public package URL. The documents include official trusted-publisher setup.
Installation from this GitHub release (without registries)
For Python, download the attached .whl file, verify its SHA-256 and use python3 -m pip install ./naif_gravity_mcp_doctor-0.3.0-py3-none-any.whl.
For npm, download the attached .tgz archive, verify SHA-256, and use npm install -g ./naif-gravity-mcp-doctor-0.3.0.tgz (requires Python 3.10+).
No registry, password, account, payment, or new public port is necessary for local artifact installation. Always review code and verify checksums before installing software.

Verified fallback: install npm package directly from this GitHub tag
If a release asset download is temporarily unavailable through a CDN, this
tested command installs the same package source from the immutable tag without
requiring an npmjs.com account or the npm registry:
npm install -g --ignore-scripts 'git+https://github.com/naief9961-tech/naif-gravity-mcp-diagnostics.git#v0.3.0'Python 3.10+ is still required for the CLI. Tested from the public GitHub tag
against a fully synthetic, sanitized fixture with output identical to the
Python wheel.
NAIF Error Passport v0.2.1 — Marketplace-ready Action
NAIF Error Passport v0.2.1 — Marketplace metadata correction
This patch release shortens the root action.yml description from 140 to 105 characters so it meets the GitHub Marketplace 125-character limit.
All behavior and permissions of the free offline MCP Error Passport Action remain unchanged. No checkout, production probe, payment or data upload is added.
Verification: action metadata parses successfully and 39/39 local regression tests pass.
See the CLI and CI guide. Publishing this release alone is not a GitHub Marketplace listing; the repository owner must still select Marketplace publishing and its category on the GitHub release form.
NAIF Error Passport v0.2.0 — Free MCP Diagnostics for Agents
NAIF Error Passport v0.2.0 — free developer diagnostics
This release adds NAIF Error Passport, a local, Python standard-library evidence card on top of the existing MCP Streamable HTTP discovery probe. It helps coding agents and CI workflows distinguish a successful handshake from protocol, schema, or timeout failures before considering optional paid help.
What is included
tools/error_passport.py: offline mode from sanitized probe JSON, or an explicitly authorized bounded MCP probe; Markdown/JSON output, deterministic observation fingerprint and free diagnostic steps.skills/naif-agent-emergency-triage/SKILL.md: developer-agent Skill; validated as installable with the officialskillsCLI (--list, no test install or telemetry).- Root
action.yml: portable offline GitHub composite Action for job summaries; nested example Action and manual workflow retained. - Documentation, local-only fixtures and regression tests. 39/39 tests pass on an isolated checkout.
Try it (free)
git clone https://github.com/naief9961-tech/naif-gravity-mcp-diagnostics.git
cd naif-gravity-mcp-diagnostics
python3 tools/error_passport.py --helpTo list the Skill without installing or inflating download metrics:
DISABLE_TELEMETRY=1 npx skills add naief9961-tech/naif-gravity-mcp-diagnostics --listDocumentation: NAIF Error Passport.
Guarantees and limitations
- The CLI never initiates a purchase, invokes
tools/call, performs an automatic repair, uploads local data to NAIF Gravity, or contacts third-party customer systems without operator permission. - Healthy discovery does not produce a paid recommendation. Failure is a diagnostic observation, not a confirmed repair.
- No evidence of independent third-party installations, buyers or sales is claimed.
- GitHub Marketplace publication is separate from this release and subject to GitHub owner terms and any required 2FA.
The existing v0.1.0 bounded discovery probe remains available; this release is backward-compatible and additive.
v0.1.0 — Bounded MCP discovery diagnostics
First tagged release of NAIF Gravity MCP Diagnostics: a Python standard-library probe for handshake-era MCP Streamable HTTP discovery.
Try the reproducible demo
Download and extract the source archive, or clone this repository, then run from the repository directory:
python3 examples/mcp_discovery_demo.py
python3 examples/webhook_signature_fixture.py
python3 -m unittest discover -s tests -p test_mcp_health_check.py -vRequires Python 3.10+. The MCP demo starts temporary loopback fixtures and reuses the included test fixtures; keep the complete source tree. No account, packages, credentials or external service required.
Healthy discovery completes initialize → notifications/initialized → tools/list and the probe exits 0. HTTP 200 with a wrong JSON-RPC request ID fails and the probe exits 1. The demo exits 0 when both expected outcomes are verified. The webhook example demonstrates raw-body HMAC verification versus reserialized JSON.
Included
- JSON and POST SSE response handling; negotiated protocol/session headers.
- Bearer token environment-variable support; redirects refused.
- Bounded tools/list pagination and sanitized diagnostic output.
- 11 passing loopback/unit tests plus verified MCP and webhook demos.
Scope and limits
Supported revisions: 2025-03-26, 2025-06-18 and 2025-11-25. Discovery only: no tools/call or automatic repairs. This is not a full conformance suite. OAuth login, stdio, legacy SSE transport and newer stateless lifecycle revisions are not implemented. Use live endpoints only with authorization.
See README.md and docs/DIAGNOSTIC-QUICKSTART.md for usage and limits. Feedback with synthetic reproductions is welcome; never post secrets or customer data.
