Fixed

  • AI no longer stalls on "thinking" models. Models like DeepSeek V4, OpenAI's o-series and GPT-5, and Gemini 2.5 used to reason at length before writing anything, so a review of two files could take minutes. GitDonkey now asks them not to think for commit messages, explanations, pull request text and themes, and to think only briefly for reviews and conflicts. Every request also has a sensible length limit.
  • Every AI wait shows the seconds and has a Stop button: reviews, Generate, Explain, branch summaries, Write with AI, AI themes and Resolve with AI. Stop really stops the request.

New

  • Loaders while things run. The key you pressed (Push, Pull, Fetch, Stash, Pop, Branch, Undo, Redo) spins and can't be pressed again until it's done, and the branches being pushed, pulled, merged, rebased or checked out spin in the graph and the sidebar.
  • Undo waits its turn. Undo and Redo are unavailable while an action is still running, so they never undo the one before it.
