Native Steam Deck candidate — 2026-10-26
Native Linux x86-64/Vulkan candidate for DOAX3 Fortune.
Includes the current async shader retention/permutation, opaque-draw pool-freeze,
profiler submission and lighting-clear fixes. Native 1920×1080 scene, 30 FPS cap.
No Proton, frame generation or DLSS NR.
Install once, then use Gaming Mode
- Download and extract the TAR.GZ (preferred for Linux permissions) or ZIP.
- In Steam Deck Desktop Mode, open
DOAX3-Fortune/Install-DOAX3.desktop.
Allow/trust launching if asked; check the detected input folders or use Browse. - Select Install and add to Steam. Steam closes briefly for shortcut
registration and restarts. Then return to Gaming Mode and launch the game.
No terminal, root password, system package installation or SteamOS read-only-mode
change is required. If KDE needs it after a Windows filesystem transfer, enable
the desktop launcher's Properties → Permissions → Is executable checkbox.
Bring your own matching extracted base+update and three PS4 system modules.
No games, DLC, firmware, savedata, shader caches or proprietary NVIDIA DLLs are
included. Put the game under a sibling game/CUSA04555 and modules in a sibling
sys_modules for automatic detection. Game assets stay in that selected folder;
keep the folder/drive connected. Existing Steam entries and saves are preserved.
Validation and limits
Linux native build, frozen CPU/Tcl startup, isolated Vulkan submit/readback,
installer/Steam-fixture tests, game-image hash, relocation, archive integrity and
private-path/frozen-module scans passed. Required GLIBC symbols are at most 2.34.
Not tested on actual Steam Deck hardware. This is an experimental prerelease,
not Deck Verified or a full Linux gameplay/performance guarantee. AMD graphics,
audio, controller behavior and full activities still need device testing.
