RKC turns code and documentation into searchable knowledge with source references. Version 0.4.1 adds private tracked workspaces and makes cited context use its result budget for usable excerpts.

  • Register several source folders, refresh their private compiled copies, and retrieve context across them through MCP. A running MCP connection picks up refreshed snapshots without restarting.
  • Cited context skips empty structural records and fills the available slots with body text or signatures, with source ranges and evidence references where available.
  • Refresh compiles a stable private capture while source work continues. Unchanged sources reuse verified exports, cancellation preserves the last good atlas, and freshness is visible to the client.
  • Secret review decisions stay bound to the exact file and detector rules. Large signatures retain canonical source and explicit truncation receipts.

Use the installation guide, then run rkc gui to choose a folder or GitHub repository. See tracked workspaces and MCP setup for several sources and agents.

The basic workflow runs locally without a model or API subscription. Linux compilation requires the documented user-systemd and cgroup v2 delegation. Native macOS and Windows compilation uses built-in processing. Model weights are not included.

Release source: 3ca9bf5962a9f152224a17273e605be8d6b45c76, with a signed v0.4.1 tag. Main CI and CodeQL passed for this source.

Tagged qualification passed installation, compilation, cited context and the local GUI on Linux amd64/arm64, macOS Intel/Apple silicon, and Windows amd64/arm64. Native filesystem and workspace tests passed on both macOS and Windows architectures. The workflow checked current exact-source main CI before building and after native qualification; both receipts are included with the downloads.

All six final archives, their 34 payload files each, installer scripts, native receipts and main CI receipts were independently verified before publication. The complete source package also passed fresh-extraction tests, builds, compilation and its reference quality gate.

Archive checksums and source-bound receipts identify the tested payloads. They are not independent publisher signatures or external build attestations. RKC is an independent Apache-2.0 open-source project from NeuroForge.
