One feature, for the season it arrives in: a way to tell NeverDry that the
garden is resting for the winter, or that nobody is home to water by hand.
Added
- Away and off-season: an operating mode for each hub. A new selector on the
hub's device page, Operating mode, tells NeverDry what you are doing. Away
keeps the valves watering and stops the requests to water by hand, since
nobody is home to act on them; warnings about the installation itself (a valve
that does not close, a silent meter, a flat battery) still arrive. Stopped
is for the off season: NeverDry sends no command to any valve, does not expect
them to answer, and sends no notification at all, leak alarms included. The
water balance keeps computing, a valve you open yourself is still recorded
(but no longer closed for you), and the Irrigate buttons are refused with a
message rather than saved for spring. Switching takes effect at once without
reloading the integration, so a watering in progress is not cut short by
going Away; going Stopped during a watering ends it and closes that
valve. The mode applies to the whole hub for now: a greenhouse and an outdoor
garden on the same hub share it until environments can be set independently.
