Fixed
- The VM's clock fell behind after the Mac slept — hours to days — so database
now(),
logs and signed requests (S3, TLS, JWT) were wrong until DockZ restarted. A VM is frozen
while the Mac sleeps and nothing set its time again. DockZ now sets the time of the Docker
VM and running Alpine machines when the engine comes up, when the Mac wakes, when its clock
or time zone changes, and every minute; the guest also runs its own NTP client (ntpd), which
keeps correcting the clock — more slowly — even while DockZ is not responding. Corrections
are noted in host.log. - With the time zone set to follow the Mac, changing the Mac's time zone now reaches the VM
right away instead of at the next restart.
Install
Open DockZ-0.2.5.dmg, drag DockZ to Applications, then launch it.
Requires macOS 15+ on Apple Silicon. First launch builds the Docker VM image (a few minutes).
Or with Homebrew:
brew tap nextage-soft/dockz https://github.com/nextage-soft/dockz
brew install --cask nextage-soft/dockz/dockzThis build is not notarized. On first launch macOS blocks it: open
System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway for DockZ.
Signing it yourself or with your own certificate: deployment guide.
