Highlights

About and Donate in the menu, and a menu-position fix.

  • Fix: after right-clicking the top-bar clock, the next left-click on the panel icon opened the menu over by the clock. The menu now goes back to the icon whenever it closes, and a left-click on the icon always opens it under the icon
  • About Numeric Clock in the quick menu opens Preferences straight on the About page (new prefs-page setting)
  • Donate in the quick menu opens the PayPal donation page
  • New screenshots, collage, social preview and demo video for 17.7
  • Tests cover the menu anchor after a clock right-click, the new items, and opening Preferences on the About page

Compatibility

  • GNOME Shell 45–51 — Wayland and X11/Xorg session types supported
  • Maintainer runtime-tested (when noted in changelog): X11/Xorg only unless a release explicitly states otherwise

Install

Download numeric-clock@nickotmazgin.v*.shell-extension.zip from this release (GNOME Shell 45–51), then:

gnome-extensions install --force numeric-clock@nickotmazgin.v*.shell-extension.zip
gnome-extensions enable numeric-clock@nickotmazgin

Restart GNOME Shell after install:

  • Wayland: log out and back in
  • X11 / Xorg: Alt+F2 → r → Enter

GNOME 42–44 — discontinued

Numeric Clock no longer supports GNOME Shell 42–44. Use GNOME 45 or newer.
