What's Changed

Fixed

  • Make SH filter-width set and answer layouts model-owned. FT-991A uses
    one fixed selector before the two-digit width index (SH001; for index 1);
    FT-710, FTDX10, and FTDX101D/MP retain their additional reserved field
    (SH0001;). Correct FT-991A readback to accept SH012; for index 12.
  • Validate the profiled selector/reserved prefix when decoding width answers.

Tests and evidence

  • Check exact read/write frames for all five modern Yaesu models, malformed
    FT-991A answers, and frequency polling after a width read. Command layouts
    were checked against the official CAT manuals.
  • Investigated a QSONaut 0.4.0 report where FT-991A CAT polling failed after
    applying an FT8 preset. The malformed write is confirmed in software;
    physical-radio confirmation of the full timeout sequence remains pending.
  • This release corrects CAT framing. Application preset bandwidth selection
    and model/mode-specific bandwidth tables need a separate audit; width index
    1 is not a universal digital-mode bandwidth preset.
