0.26.0

FEATURES

  1. Added Nornir gnmi_get with host filtering, structured processors, and NFCLI nornir gnmi get, including openconfig-system, openconfig-interfaces, openconfig-lldp, and openconfig-platform getters.
  2. Added Nornir gnmi_set and NFCLI nornir gnmi set for combined configuration updates, replacements, and deletions using JSON object payloads.
  3. Added Nornir gnmi_delete and NFCLI nornir gnmi delete for dedicated configuration path deletion, with prefix and target support.
  4. Added Nornir gnmi_get_capabilities and NFCLI nornir gnmi get-capabilities to discover advertised models, encodings, and gNMI version.

BUGS

  1. Client-agent chat selects its profile and initial thread before the first message, so /resume works immediately on entry, using Picle's chat lifecycle hooks.
  2. Netbox Markdown design deployment preserves the final newline in YAML context block scalars when rendering Jinja templates.
  3. Agent definitions retain explicit null arguments and task arguments named service. Missing local profile files now report an error, and model content blocks are returned as readable text.
  4. Pinned Picle to 0.13.1 so fresh installations and Docker test images include the chat interface required by client agents.

ENHANCEMENTS

  1. Use /rename <name> in client-agent chat to give the current conversation a readable thread ID and resume it by that name.
  2. Client-agent chat keeps its multiline editor visible while Picle displays a thinking spinner and tool activity above it, with profile and thread information in the footer. Use progress false to hide activity. Worker agents send the same activity as job progress events.
  3. Client agents can save conversation history with SQLite and resume it after restarting. Use /resume in client-agent chat to list conversations and /resume <thread-id> to continue one.
  4. gNMI Get, Set, and Delete now accept nf:// JSON/YAML files for operation payloads and path lists.
  5. Netbox Markdown designs now accept standalone Jinja statements, expressions, and comments inside yaml design fences. These blocks appear after metadata and before collections, allowing shared variables and logic.
  6. Markdown design deployment renders YAML and CSV context blocks, including Jinja loops, and Markdown table cells using only supplied task context.

CHANGES

  1. Netbox Markdown design parsing is now a method used by design_deploy. The separate parse_markdown_design task and its API models are removed. Use Markdown file URLs with dry_run_render=True to preview.
  2. Markdown design files passed to Netbox design_deploy no longer support json context.KEY or text context.KEY fences. Use yaml context.KEY with a YAML mapping or a | block scalar instead.
  3. Netbox Markdown design documentation is now part of the design deployment guide. Markdown deployment tests are grouped in TestMarkdownDesignDeploy in test_designs.py.
  4. Client and worker agents now share one core backend. The default worker agent can execute discovered NorFab tasks directly; custom YAML definitions use the same prompt/tool format. Filesystem tools now require explicit enablement.
