63 commits since v0.6. The theme is accountability: a run can now say what it cost, what launched it, and what it launched.
Sub-agents became real. A launched sub-agent keeps its own conversation, a live child is evidence the worker didn't disconnect (so a waiting parent is no longer killed by its own timeout), and a resumed parent reattaches to an in-flight child instead of relaunching it.
Cost is real. Each LLM call's event can be priced on its own, cache reads and writes are recorded separately from fresh input, and a run's cost rolls up the sub-agents it launched. The run page shows input and output as two numbers, because their sum prices out to nothing.
Lineage. A run page says what launched it and what it launched.
Reliability. Idempotency reaches the worker, so a call that outlives its worker isn't repeated. A lost tool call is re-dispatched rather than reported as failed. Two ways a run could wedge its conversation are closed: a task nobody took now times the run out instead of killing the agent, and deleting a conversation evicts the process holding it.
Internals. Replay is its own module rather than the tail of the state machine, and the orchestrator has no worker in it.
Sessions. Archive a session, retire an agent without erasing what it did, give a session a name, and see times in your own timezone.
Workers want norns-sdk 0.8.3 (PyPI) or norns_sdk 0.3.1 (Hex).
Active development is paused as of 2026-10-14 — see docs/decision-log.md § Slowing down. The runtime is maintained; bugs that bite it still get fixed.
