What's new

  • Add tasks from anywhere: the "add a task…" bar is now pinned to the bottom of the screen, so you can add a task without scrolling down. It rides up with the keyboard.
  • Music buttons on the Dynamic Island and lock screen: ⏮ previous, ⏯ play / pause and ⏭ next control Spotify without opening Focus (controls need Spotify Premium). They show whenever a song is playing, even while the timer is paused.
  • Tap the song to refresh it: tap the ♪ song line (with the ↻ icon) on the island or lock screen to fetch what's playing right now.

Changed

  • Clearer task rows: every task shows its actions. Use the checkbox to mark it done, ▷ / ▶ to focus on it, and ⋯ for more (move to top, mark done, delete). Long-press and drag-to-reorder still work.
  • Finished tasks fold away under "▸ done (n)". Tap to show or hide them; the app remembers your choice.
  • Delete moved into the ⋯ menu, so a task can't be deleted by a stray tap.
  • The first-run tour explains the new task bar and buttons.

Fixed

  • Island stuck on one song: after you left the app, the Dynamic Island and lock screen kept showing the same song.
    • Focus now keeps checking Spotify for about 30 seconds after you leave.
    • Any island button (pause, break, music) and tapping the song line re-check it right away.
    • The play / pause icon now stays correct.
    • iOS doesn't let apps keep checking in the background forever, so after a while tap the song line (or any button) to sync it.
