SVQ to MIDI 1.0 beta 1

Beta. SVQ to MIDI converts Roland XP-50, XP-60, XP-80 and Fantom-X sequencer songs (.SVQ) to Standard MIDI Files, adding each Part's patch selection and mixer settings from the Performance saved in the song. Its conversions match MIDI files that an XP-80 and a Fantom-X8 exported from the same songs years ago, but no converted file has been played on the instruments themselves yet, so please report anything that sounds wrong.

SVQ-to-MIDI-1.0-beta-1.dmg (macOS 13 or later). Open it and drag SVQ to MIDI to Applications. The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

What it does

• Converts all 16 phrase tracks (notes with release velocity, controllers, program changes, aftertouch, pitch bend, SysEx) plus tempo, meter and key, and expands pattern calls.
• Adds Bank Select, Program Change, level, pan and effect sends for every channel the song plays; optionally the whole setup as SysEx on a separate track (XP-80 Performance; Fantom-X Performance, Patches and Rhythm Sets).
• Names every Part's sound, including SR-JV80 and SRX expansion boards.
• Shows each song's setup, phrase tracks (with the Tempo and Beat tracks) and patterns, with pattern names and RPS key assignments.
• Drag a song, a phrase track, a pattern or the song's setup straight into the Finder or a DAW such as Logic Pro.
• Also saves patterns as their own MIDI files, and converts whole folders at once.

Known limits

• Tested with XP-80 and Fantom-X files. Files from other Roland sequencers (MC-80, Fantom-S, the original Fantom FA-76, MC-50mkII, JV-1000) are untested; sample files would be very welcome (please open an issue).
• Several parts of the format are inferred rather than verified, notably the Fantom-X Performance effects and Rhythm Set SysEx; see Known limits in the README and docs/SVQ-Format.md.
