v0.12.0
Thanks to the efforts of @DRohlf (Devon Rohlf), MyoGen 0.12.0 brings improved surface EMG numerical correctness and adaptive CPU execution.
- Adaptive CPU execution: opt-in memory-aware iEMG and sEMG simulation, bounded work batches, reusable preparations and optional disk caching.
- Surface EMG corrections: corrected frequency reconstruction and angular orders, plus a more stable layered-cylinder solver for thin bones and fine grids.
- Reliable cache cleanup: completed and failed sessions release their bookkeeping while active simulators retain reusable data.
- Examples and documentation: reproducible clean/noisy sEMG examples, a CPU execution guide and compatible API documentation.
Upgrade note: the surface-conductor fixes intentionally change affected sEMG amplitudes. Regenerate affected reference outputs and comparisons. The obsolete Cython surface-fiber extension has been removed; simulate_fiber_v2 remains available and uses the Python implementation.
Adaptive CPU execution is opt-in through ExecutionPolicy.
