v0.1.19-rc.1 — Resonance camera test
Camera test for Final Fantasy Resonance
This prerelease tests a possible correction for the image compression or reduced horizontal view reported with v0.1.18 at 1920x1200 on Legion Go 2. It changes the upstream mod's camera policy from preserving vertical field of view to preserving horizontal field of view. The expected result is the original horizontal scene width plus additional scenery above and below. The result has not yet been verified on the device.
HUD constraining stays disabled, the upstream movie correction stays enabled, and the same pinned full-game mod v0.3.0 is used. Only one byte of the mod changes; both original and adjusted hashes are checked before installation.
Try it
- Close the game and install
16x10-fixes.zipfrom this prerelease through Decky. - Open 16:10 Fixes, press Rescan, select Final Fantasy Resonance (Experimental) and press Reinstall Fix. Updating the plugin alone does not replace the game mod.
- Keep the game at 1920x1200 and SteamOS scaling on Auto or Fit.
- Compare the same scene and camera position with v0.1.18. Check the left/right landmarks, extra visibility above/below, and whether characters retain their proportions.
To return to the earlier camera behavior, install the v0.1.18 plugin ZIP and press Reinstall Fix again. Both versions keep HUD constraining disabled.
Validation
Seven backend tests, the Decky build/package, application typechecking with skipLibCheck, and local install/rollback using the actual upstream release ZIP passed. Character proportions, scene framing, HUD, menus, battle transitions and cutscenes still need on-device validation.
v0.1.18
Changes
- Add an experimental Final Fantasy Resonance profile for Legion Go 2 testing at 1920x1200.
- Install the SHA-256-pinned full-game fix v0.3.0 by PolarWizard and its bundled winmm loader.
- Keep HUD constraining disabled to avoid the reported battle-transition crash.
- Add TOML configuration support and retain managed install, reinstall, backup, and uninstall behavior.
Install and test
- Download
16x10-fixes.zipbelow and install it through Decky's developer ZIP installer. - Close the game, open 16:10 Fixes, and press Rescan.
- Select Final Fantasy Resonance (Experimental) and press Install Fix.
- Choose 1920x1200 in Steam/game display settings. The profile uses your selected resolution; it does not force a custom render size.
The plugin attempts to apply WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm=n,b" %command% automatically. If necessary, copy it from Advanced into the game's Steam launch options.
Validation boundary
The build, six backend tests, and local installation/rollback using the actual upstream ZIP passed. Full-game gameplay, HUD, menus, battle transitions, and cutscenes on Legion Go 2/SteamOS still need on-device testing. HUD constraining stays off; the upstream movie correction stays enabled and pre-rendered videos may retain 16:9 black bars.
