This MR (well, beta MR) brings WAY faster hash calculation, on par with Linux core hashing functions, going away from the old hashing lib to a better one by Stephen Brumme.
The old vector based hash calculation method has been replaced with a fixed size buffer (256 KB) which significantly reduces memory usage when large files are being hashed (2-4MB to ~300KB for a 2GB ISO, on massif).
The UX has been completely overhauled and you can view all this small tool can do with --help.
