Tinta v3.7.2

Markdown, distilled. Editor fixes and links between document headings.

Installation

  • Easiest: winget install "Tinta Markdown Viewer" -s msstore (Store-signed, no security prompts, auto-updates), or the Microsoft Store page
  • Portable: download tinta.exe below and run it (SmartScreen may ask: "More info", then "Run anyway")
  • Optionally run tinta.exe /register to register Markdown and Mermaid files

Cross-document heading links (#225)

  • Links such as file.md#heading open the target Markdown document and jump to its heading (#229)
  • Links also work when the target is already open in a tab, preserving unsaved edits
  • Suggested by @vkstudio2015 in Discussion #225

Find, Replace and table focus (#223)

  • Find and Replace fields support cursor movement, text selection and clipboard shortcuts, with the blinking caret in the active field (#227)
  • Clicking the source editor after editing a table transfers keyboard focus, so typing goes where clicked (#227)

Fixed

  • Cursor movement and Shift+Arrow selection continue through wrapped lines without getting stuck at wrap boundaries. Reported by @a86022 (#224, #228)
  • Right-clicking selected text preserves the selection and keeps Copy and Cut available, including after double-click selection and across wrapped lines. Reported by @a86022 (#230, #231)

  • Refresh the documented portable executable size to about 2.5 MB
  • Remove a shadowed local variable from the context-menu regression tests (#230)
