Downloads

  • LocalWave-VERSION.dmg: native macOS app, Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple. Open the DMG and drag LocalWave to Applications. Requires an Apple silicon Mac with macOS 15 or newer.
  • LocalWave-unsigned.ipa with its SHA-256 checksum: unsigned, device-only IPA. An unsigned IPA cannot install directly; sign it with your chosen iOS sideloading tool first. Your signing account determines expiry and renewal requirements.

The iPhone and iPad build is distributed to testers through internal TestFlight, not the App Store.

The app requires iOS 18.0 or newer. Imports use folders you select in Files. FLAC tags and artwork are read from native FLAC metadata; local availability is still required for playback.

Community sideloading preview of LocalWave, a music player for your files. This is not an App Store release.

This build includes FLAC tags and embedded artwork, Favorites with safe database upgrades, recursive Import all, the Add to Playlist context-menu fix, device-controlled volume, and build/provisioning repairs. The macOS terminal player and its build instructions are in the source.

Download LocalWave-unsigned.ipa and its .sha256 file below. The IPA requires iOS 18.0 or newer and must be signed with your chosen sideloading tool before installation. Signing expiry and renewal depend on your account and tool. From the download folder, verify it with shasum -a 256 -c LocalWave-unsigned.ipa.sha256.

Verification: five shared regression tests, 22 iOS unit tests and one playlist/Sync UI test; device Release packaging; and the Release TUI build. Hosted verification uses Xcode 16.4 with a compatible simulator, and local verification passed on iPhone 16 / iOS 18.6. Physical-device audio routes, iCloud downloads and long-running background playback still require device qualification.

Code and evidence: #18 and #19 . Build: https://github.com/olegpustovit/localwave/actions/runs/41815253682 .

The App Store title, icon, privacy pages and metadata are prepared. Initial App Store record creation and iOS signing access are still pending under issue #4.
