The first public version of EvoCC: an experimental C compiler for AArch64 Linux and macOS,
written from scratch by AI agents in Rust and Lean 4. Agents propose; checkers decide.

  • A C compiler. Use evocc in place of cc. A Linux 6.18 kernel built with
    make CC=evocc boots, and SQLite, Lua, zlib, Mbed TLS and Doom build and pass their own
    tests.
  • evo check runs your program on the rules of C and stops at the first operation that
    breaks one, with the line.
  • -Oeq-scalar rewrites only with rules that Lean 4 proves; evocc-checker replays each
    rewrite before EvoCC writes output.
  • evo prove has Lean 4 check every stage of a core-v1 function, from typed Core source to
    the final assembly text.
  • For agents: stable diagnostic codes, JSON output and evo mcp.

EvoCC 0.1.0 is experimental. The scope of 0.1.0
and the known limits
say what is not done yet. The full list of changes and results is in
CHANGELOG.md.

On macOS with Apple silicon:

On Linux (AArch64), use aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu in the file name and sha256sum -c -.
The binaries are not notarized; Installation
shows how to clear the quarantine attribute of a browser download, and how to build from source.

Assets

Both archives were built from the tagged commit, 2991c0af. Its compiler source is that of f0e5e01a,
which passed the final health gate on 2026-10-30 and writes the same bytes as the compiler of the
frozen release acceptance of 2026-10-27 (8177cff2) for 792 test objects. Each archive holds its
own SHA256SUMS, LICENSE, NOTICE and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md.
