What platform is your computer?

Windows 11 when I use CLI, I use WSL.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1 - Open the Codex IDE extension
2 - Create a task and click in the cloud button on botton right to send it to the cloud. r open any coding activity/task
3 - The error message "Error creating cloud task" appears immediately

What is the expected behavior?

The task should be successfully uploaded and synchronized with the cloud after submmit the task.

What do you see instead?

Instead of successful synchronization, I see:

A red error notification displaying "Error creating cloud task"
The task fails to upload to the cloud
No synchronization occurs
The task remains only locally saved (if at all)

Dealing with this same issue. I thought it might be because my codex ide extension needed to be updated, but I still got "error creating cloud task"

Facing the same issue. Also when trying to archive a task "Failed to delete task".

Found a solution:

Make sure you're running your prompts locally first. From there, also make sure that you have connected your GitHub account. Once you are sure of those two, take the link of your repo on GitHub and share it with Codex. Tell Codex to push your code to the repo. This unlocks the whole situation and enables your cloud tasks to run correctly.

Also, I don't know if this helps, but I gave my agent "full access".
