Add auth plugin architecture to support other subscriptions as external plugins ! #3983

What feature would you like to see?
Hi! For the continued health of Codex and OpenAI tycoon it feels very important that it supports authentication for all major lab subscription. This includes of course Anthropic Claude, Max 5X, Max 20X, and Gemini CLI!
If you will not do it due to "flying too close to the sun" so to speak, then I recommend that you implement an "auth plugin" architecture instead which facilitates the community creating auth plugins for various providers. Like the existing toml configuration, but with installable code and an optional login flow. These providers can also override prompts with the ones from Claude Code for example, so that way there is no claim of foul play - always acting in good faith, but with our due entitlement to using the computer freely as God intended.

Yes. I will implement the Anthropic auth plugin. It is my mission to do so.

This will be awesome for OpenAI's economy! The Codex software is obviously 100x better than every other CLI agent software. It's already open-source, so you might as well aim for total mindshare capture. Microsoft not Apple.
