  • Native fallback warnings: explain why native support is unavailable, name the expected package version, and give cause-specific recovery guidance for Windows security and private-creation fallbacks. (#961)

Performance

  • Native directory creation: retain parent handles during recursive mkdir, reducing the measured case from 160 to 5 promises and 381 to 74 Linux syscalls; nested mkdir also reuses existing parents. (#971, #959)
  • Native writable-file creation: reuse parent admission, reducing measured direct-root append syscalls from 117 to 36 and openWritable syscalls from 115 to 34 while retaining identity and cleanup checks. (#966)
  • Native Root verification: batch verification and checked close to reduce dispatch overhead while retaining identity checks and close-error handling. (#955)
  • macOS file watching: avoid JavaScript reconciliation for unrelated sibling writes and child-only changes to directory entry scopes while preserving missing-entry discovery and replacement notifications. (#968)
