v1.10.0: Scenario Bundle REST API, faster factsheets and a more stable platform
✨ Highlights
- Scenario Bundle REST API: Scenario bundles in the Open Energy Knowledge Graph (OEKG) can now be created, read, changed and deleted programmatically under
/api/v0/scenario-bundles/. This covers scenarios, study reports and dataset links, and the whole bundle can be replaced in one call for repeatable imports. Every write is validated against the OEKG SHACL shape before it is stored, is applied atomically and leaves an entry in the bundle's change history. Reads are public and can also be returned as RDF (Turtle, JSON-LD). - A self-describing REST API:
/api/v0/schema/returns an OpenAPI description generated from the code, and/api/v0/open-api/renders it as a browsable Swagger page with the endpoints grouped by topic. The API reference in the documentation is generated from the same source, so it stays in step with the API. - Scenario bundle addresses resolve: Following a bundle's IRI (
https://openenergyplatform.org/ontology/oekg/...) now leads to the bundle's page in the browser, or to its RDF representation for machine clients. Unknown addresses under/ontology/now answer "not found". - Much faster Model & Framework factsheets: The factsheet overviews load in seconds instead of minutes. Saving a factsheet no longer attaches every tag in the system to it. Tag filters can be bookmarked and shared, and every tag list on the platform can be searched and sorted. The tag pages under Database are now one screen, reachable from a new Manage Tags button.
- A more stable platform: Database connections are no longer leaked, and the connection pool is bounded, which removes a cause of
Invalid requesterrors when viewing table data. The connection limit of the advanced API now counts only sessions a client explicitly opens. Browsing tables in several tabs is therefore no longer refused. A request that hits the limit gets a clear429, and one that waits too long for a connection gets503withRetry-After. - Security fixes: Queueing, applying and denying structural table changes now require the appropriate permission, and their values are no longer written into SQL statements as text. Deleting a Model/Framework factsheet is restricted to administrators, or to any logged-in account during the first week after creation.
- Bug Fixes & General Improvements: Creating tables with foreign keys through
oedialectworks again. Editing a scenario's datasets in the bundle form no longer removes links the form cannot display, such as databus addresses.
