BILRESA Dial 0.1.5

@orienz orienz released this 10 Oct 13:09

Double press can now cycle through eight colors and white. Scrolling can adjust warmth while preserving the selected color.

  • Red, orange, yellow, white, green, cyan, blue, violet, and magenta.
  • Complementary white temperatures for white-only bulbs in mixed groups.
  • A configurable white-temperature limit while dimming.
  • Pending color choices survive rapid scrolling.
  • Fixes decoder recovery after completion messages with unusable counts.

Update through HACS, restart Home Assistant, then open Settings → Devices & services → BILRESA Dial → Configure. Choose Cycle eight colors and white and enable Adjust color warmth with brightness. Existing settings are preserved; the new options are not enabled automatically.

Groups with only white-spectrum bulbs keep cycling white presets. The white palette choice uses 3200 K, limited to each bulb’s range. Color range, fades, and responsiveness depend on the bulbs and network.

Requires Home Assistant 2026.9.3 or newer. The installation ZIP and SHA-256 checksum are attached. All 87 tests, lint, formatting, and package checks passed.

@orienz orienz released this 21 Sep 14:04

First public release of BILRESA Dial for Home Assistant.

  • Choose lights and settings for each remote and group.
  • Control brightness with the wheel, toggle with a single press, and cycle white temperature with a double press.
  • Set direction, brightness steps and limits, temperature presets, and fades.
  • Read raw Matter events for early response, remove duplicates, and replace waiting light commands as you turn.

Requires Home Assistant 2026.9.3+, Matter, and a working Thread network. Add https://github.com/orienz/bilresa-dial to HACS as an Integration, or follow the manual installation instructions.

This release also improves input validation, subscription retries, and skipped-command reporting. All 63 tests pass, including recorded wheel events. Physical testing covered one remote, group 1, and four Matter lights. This is an early release; network delays can still affect response.
