Release list
FloatingBar v0.4.0-rc.1
FloatingBar v0.4.0-rc.1
A security and reliability candidate for the first stable FloatingBar release, with authenticated Claude Code hooks and repeatable Windows release checks.
Highlights
- Replace the fixed, unauthenticated Claude Code endpoint with an exec-form helper, per-run DPAPI credentials, and a random loopback port.
- Reject browser-origin requests, invalid authentication, ambiguous headers, oversized bodies, slow requests, and excess pending work. Failures return to Claude's own prompt without granting permission.
- Configure or repair the Claude Code hook from AI settings. Existing FloatingBar hooks migrate with a backup while unrelated settings are preserved.
- Restore pending permission cards after renderer reloads and keep delivery failures visible.
- Disable experimental external desktop detection by default; enable it explicitly in AI settings. Claude and FloatingBar-owned Codex sessions remain available.
- Add a release Content Security Policy, pinned Windows CI, 36 offline regression tests, artifact credential checks, and installer SHA-256 checksums.
- Add an isolated native test profile without using personal accounts or conversations.
Install
Download FloatingBar_0.4.0-rc.1_x64-setup.exe or FloatingBar_0.4.0-rc.1_x64_en-US.msi and verify it against SHA256SUMS.txt. Quit running FloatingBar before installing. Windows 11 x64 is the tested platform; Windows 10 compatibility is unverified for this candidate.
Notes
- This is a pre-release, not v1.0. Installers are not code-signed. Clean-machine installation, upgrade/uninstall, reboot/sleep, and broader display testing remain release gates.
- Claude Code exec-form hooks require version 2.1.207 or later; tested with 2.1.312. Open AI → Pengaturan AI to set up the helper, then start a new Claude Code session.
- The UI remains Indonesian. ChatGPT / Codex uses Codex CLI/App Server and existing CLI sign-in; ordinary ChatGPT history is not imported. Existing conversations are forked on first send.
- Codex accepts text; Claude retains image support. Direct approvals cover supported requests from FloatingBar-owned sessions. External OpenAI and Antigravity detection only offers opening the source app; Antigravity chat is not implemented.
- No service credentials are bundled. The maintainer has confirmed rotation of the historically exposed Discord secret. Configure your own integration credentials locally.
FloatingBar v0.3.0
FloatingBar v0.3.0
Chat with Codex and answer permission requests from FloatingBar, alongside the existing Claude panel, Discord voice controls, daily planning, music, and notifications.
Highlights
- New ChatGPT / Codex selector on the AI page, using the official Codex App Server and your existing Codex CLI sign-in.
- List conversations with pagination, read recent history, send text prompts, receive streamed replies, and interrupt FloatingBar-owned turns.
- Sending from an existing conversation creates a fork to preserve the original session.
- Answer supported permission requests with Allow once / Deny. Handles both decline and cancel-only requests without granting persistent or session-wide rules.
- Permission cards identify their source and queue requests from multiple windows. Experimental desktop adapters can open recognized ChatGPT / Codex and Antigravity prompts.
- Revalidates desktop prompt identities before answering, rejects stale requests, and shows delivery errors.
- Scrollable permission details, updated fictional screenshots, and repeatable local protocol/history tests.
Install
Download FloatingBar_0.3.0_x64-setup.exe or FloatingBar_0.3.0_x64_en-US.msi below. Quit any running FloatingBar instance before installing on Windows 10/11.
Notes
- This is a pre-release. The interface is in Indonesian; installers are not code-signed.
- The ChatGPT / Codex label covers the OpenAI host detected on Windows. Chat and approval support use Codex CLI/App Server sessions; ordinary ChatGPT chat history is not automatically imported.
- Install and sign in to Codex CLI before selecting the panel. Alternate binary locations can use FLOATINGBAR_CODEX_BIN.
- Direct approvals cover turns launched through FloatingBar. Existing desktop/CLI sessions use the separate experimental desktop detector; their pending requests are not automatically transferred to the App Server connection.
- New sessions default to read-only with on-request approval. An accepted command can still be restricted by its sandbox. Permission grants are limited to the requested action or turn, depending on request type.
- Codex currently accepts text prompts. Image attachments remain available in the Claude adapter. Structured forms and multi-choice tool interactions are not implemented.
- Antigravity chat is not implemented. Claude desktop integration still depends on its English accessibility labels; Claude Code permissions use the documented hook.
- Validation includes live Codex listing/history, text send/streaming, rejection of a real permission request, and one-time approval of a harmless output command with exit code 0. UI demos and 14 internal tests passed; native installer click-through remains a separate validation step.
FloatingBar v0.2.0
FloatingBar v0.2.0
Answer Claude’s permission prompts from your floating bar, with daily planning and improved Discord voice controls alongside your music and notifications.
Highlights
- Review Claude commands and answer Allow / Deny without switching windows, through Claude desktop prompts or the Claude Code hook.
- Local to-do list: add, edit, complete, and delete tasks.
- Today’s Google Calendar agenda with shared/subscribed calendar selection, recurring events, and read-only OAuth PKCE sign-in.
- Discord voice members, speaking indicators, bounded per-member volume sliders, reconnect controls, compact avatars, and pin to stay expanded.
- Drag the header to position the bar; drag page content to switch slides. The bar expands upward near the bottom and stays within the monitor’s work area.
- Discord credentials are configured locally instead of bundled in source. Discord and Google credentials/tokens use Windows DPAPI encryption.
- Refreshed documentation and screenshots using fictional demo data.
Install
Download FloatingBar_0.2.0_x64-setup.exe or FloatingBar_0.2.0_x64_en-US.msi below and run it on Windows 10/11. Quit any running FloatingBar instance before updating.
Notes
- This is a pre-release. The interface is in Indonesian; installers are not code-signed.
- Claude desktop integration requires the app’s English interface. Claude Code permissions require the hook documented in the README.
- Discord voice requires Discord desktop and your own application credentials with appropriate RPC access. Configure these in the Discord panel.
- Google Calendar is optional and requires a Desktop OAuth client. Existing connections may need Perbarui izin Google to list shared calendars.
- If you used a Discord secret from an earlier source version, rotate it in Discord Developer Portal and enter the replacement locally. Removing a secret from the latest source does not invalidate copies in Git history.
FloatingBar v0.1.0
The first release of FloatingBar — a Dynamic Island for Windows.
Highlights
- Floating pill at the top of the screen that expands on hover; drag it anywhere, double-click to re-center
- Now playing with artwork, controls and per-app volume (Spotify, browsers, media players)
- Windows notifications as cards on the pill, plus a history page
- Header shortcuts to websites, apps or programs (
shortcuts.json) - Claude panel: pick Chat/Code mode and a conversation in the Claude desktop app, read recent messages, send prompts (with pasted images) and follow replies
- Answer Claude permission prompts from the pill (Claude desktop app and Claude Code via a hook)
- Tray menu with show/hide, reset position, run at startup and quit
- Optional script to show notifications only in FloatingBar (
scripts/quiet-windows-notifications.ps1, with-Undo)
Install
Download FloatingBar_0.1.0_x64-setup.exe below and run it. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn you — choose More info → Run anyway.
Then allow notification access: Settings → Privacy & security → Notifications.
See the README for usage, the Claude Code hook and troubleshooting.
Notes
- Windows 10/11 only, tested on Windows 11.
- The interface is in Indonesian.
- Claude features rely on the Claude desktop app's English labels and may need an update if the app changes.
