The first release of Command Space: Spotlight replaced, with Space, the agent from Notch Agent, built in.

Install: download Command-Space.dmg, drag it to Applications. It isn't notarized, so right-click → Open the first time, or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Command Space.app". Then set up System Two:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/otron-io/command-space/main/agent/setup.sh | zsh

The welcome guide imports Notch Agent's settings, takes ⌘Space from Spotlight (reversible in Settings) and downloads Snap 1.

What's in it

  • ⌘Space opens an OLED-black bubble that stretches into a search bar, results growing underneath.
  • Apps, documents, folders and paths, System Settings, system commands, a calculator, URLs, and Google with ⌥⏎. It learns what you pick.
  • Snap 1 ranks results on this Mac and tells apps from documents, commands and questions.
  • System One commands (instant and learned actions) run straight from search.
  • ⇥ or ⌥Space asks Space (System Two, opencode). Each open starts a new thread; once the agent answers, the thread stays with it. Old threads live in the conversations window (⌘Y).
  • Push-to-talk (right ⌥), whistle commands, and a live pill for listening, results, timers and approvals.
  • Space, a living space bar that reacts to what's happening.

Requires macOS 14+; voice input needs macOS 26+. Updates install automatically.
