lexsync 0.1.1 is on CRAN (published 2026-09-25) and is the first version of the Python package on PyPI. The R and Python packages remain in lockstep.
install.packages("lexsync")pip install lexsyncChanged
- EEG condition codes follow the order of the design's conditions, not the shuffled trial order, so a different seed can no longer swap two conditions' codes. The generated experiments of 12 of the 21 demonstration designs change their condition codes. No stimulus moves.
- The corpus cache is created only when a download needs it.
lexsync_cache_dir()(R) andcache_dir()(Python) now only report the path, and a download into the cache first deletes partial downloads left there more than a day earlier.
Added
lexsync_cache_clear()(R) andlexsync.corpora.cache_clear()(Python) remove one cached corpus or the whole cache.
Fixed
- The confidence interval on Cohen's d uses the large-sample standard error of d (Hedges & Olkin, 1985), so the interval on a large effect is no longer far too narrow. No d, TOST p-value or equivalence verdict changes.
- The R tests failed on CRAN's Linux check hosts, where a test took the unrelated CRAN package 'templates' for the repository's
templates/. The tests of both engines now recognise the lexsync repository by its own files, and skip on CRAN. citation("lexsync")gives the CRAN DOI, 10.32614/CRAN.package.lexsync.
