MPC Link 1.0.2
The macOS app is now signed and notarized by Apple: no more "can't check for malicious software" warning, just double-click. New Credits… in the menu (also in the settings page's footer): Padbangers, license and the open-source parts MPC Link uses. No other changes.
- macOS (13+, Apple Silicon and Intel):
MPC-Link-1.0.2-macOS.zip. Unzip, move to Applications, open. - Windows (10/11):
MPC-Link-1.0.2-windows-amd64.exefor most PCs,…-arm64.exefor Windows on ARM. Not signed: SmartScreen → More info → Run anyway. The Windows build has not been tested on a Windows machine yet.
Needs an MPC with root SSH access (Hakai firmware). Tested on an MPC X with MPC OS 3.9.1. Setup and use: see the README. Checksums in SHA256SUMS.
MPC Link 1.0.1
Fix: the macOS app now starts on macOS 13 (Ventura) and newer. Version 0.4.0 was accidentally built to require macOS 26, so it wouldn't open on older systems (e.g. macOS 15 on Intel). No other changes.
- macOS (13+, Apple Silicon and Intel):
MPC-Link-1.0.1-macOS.zip. Unzip, move to Applications; not signed by Apple, so open it the first time with right-click → Open. - Windows (10/11):
MPC-Link-1.0.1-windows-amd64.exefor most PCs,…-arm64.exefor Windows on ARM.
MPC Link 0.4.0
New: choose the drive on the MPC. Drive on the MPC in the settings: Automatic (an SSD, SD card or USB drive in the MPC if there is one, else the internal storage), Internal (MPC Documents), or any drive by its name. MPC Link finds the MPC's drives by itself, whatever they're called, and notices drives plugged in or out within about 20 seconds. If the chosen drive isn't in the MPC, it waits for it.
Before ejecting a drive on the MPC that holds MPC Link's folder, choose Disconnect in MPC Link.
- macOS (11+, Apple Silicon and Intel):
MPC-Link-0.4.0-macOS.zip. Unzip, move to Applications; not signed by Apple, so open it the first time with right-click → Open. - Windows (10/11):
MPC-Link-0.4.0-windows-amd64.exefor most PCs,…-arm64.exefor Windows on ARM.
MPC Link 0.3.0
First release: your computer's folders in your Akai MPC's browser, over the network.
- macOS (11+, Apple Silicon and Intel):
MPC-Link-0.3.0-macOS.zip. Unzip, move to Applications; not signed by Apple, so open it the first time with right-click → Open. - Windows (10/11):
MPC-Link-0.3.0-windows-amd64.exefor most PCs,…-arm64.exefor Windows on ARM. Not signed: SmartScreen → More info → Run anyway. The Windows build has not been tested on a Windows machine yet.
Needs an MPC with root SSH access (Hakai firmware). Tested on an MPC X with MPC OS 3.9.1. How to set it up and use it: see the README. Checksums in SHA256SUMS.
