This addresses the first five changes of the build updates discussed in #713. The dist files gets generated the same as before so it's purely build script related.
New versions of the library can now be created with the npm version script. The main advantage is that it does a whole lot with one command. It auto updates the version field in
package.json, can commit dist files and can create a git version tags for example.
