@pat-pat-patrick pat-pat-patrick released this 31 Oct 11:56

A mod manager for Helldivers 2 that deploys incrementally with hard links: a
typical deploy takes 0.13–0.29 s and writes no mod data. It also
settles conflicts resource by resource and looks after the Lua mod loaders.

This is a developer build: it has no Nexus Mods integration (no sign-in,
no Mod Manager Download button, no Nexus update checks). Everything else is in
it. Its own update check also counts pre-releases like this one.

New since 0.11.0

  • MDL3 support. MDL3 is recognised as a loader of its own (it was taken for
Bingus Shared Loader before) and can be chosen in the loader panel; its
scripts no longer show false "cannot run" warnings.
  • Previous version and rollback (Settings, off by default). A mod with Lua
scripts keeps the version it had when a new one arrives; its details roll
back to it in one click, and back again. The Storage page lists the versions
    kept and deletes them.
  • Skip this version. An update can be skipped until a newer one comes out.
  • Translation packs follow their mod. Turning a mod off turns its
translation packs off; turning it on again brings them back.
  • Faster installs of 7z and rar archives. A 300 MB 7z took about 90 s to
add; it now takes about 8 s.
  • Conflicts settled in the details: which mod takes effect for each shared
resource, and which start-up script runs.
  • Groups: mods sorted into folder-style groups, shown as columns.
  • Problem report in one click (Settings, or hd2qd report).

Download

  • HD2.Mod.Quick.Deploy.exe: the window. Put it in any folder and run it.
  • hd2qd.exe: the command line, optional.
  • HD2.Mod.Quick.Deploy.0.12.0-dev.zip: both, with the license.

Nothing to install: both need only the .NET Framework 4.8 included with
Windows 10 (1903 or later) and 11.

Before you start

  • Use one manager for deploying: another manager's deploy undoes this one's.
  • Do not edit a deployed patch file in place: it is the library's own file.
