HD2 Mod Quick Deploy 0.14.0 (developer build)
A mod manager for Helldivers 2 that deploys incrementally with hard links: a
typical deploy takes 0.13–0.29 s and writes no mod data. It also
settles conflicts resource by resource and looks after the Lua mod loaders.
This is a developer build: it has no Nexus Mods integration (no sign-in,
no Mod Manager Download button, no Nexus update checks). Everything else is in
it. Its own update check also counts pre-releases like this one.
New since 0.13.0
- MDL3 beside Boot Mod Loader. With Boot Mod Loader 0.12.0 or later in
effect and a mod on that uses MDL3's audio or data (theMDL3orHD2Data
global), MDL3 is deployed too, and Boot Mod Loader runs its start-up script
as a guest. MDL3 then starts no mod itself. Not yet tried in game. - MDL3 in Chef Shared Loader's place. MDL3 3.0.0-dev.22 and later run the
mods made for Chef Shared Loader themselves, by MDL3's own notes. With such an
MDL3 in effect those mods are no longer said not to start; what they draw on
the screen does not show yet, and their details say so. Start-up scripts
deployed before MDL3 are run by it too, so they are no longer a conflict. - Compatibility between loaders on the Lua loaders page: for each pair of
the library's loaders, whether they can be used together, how, under what
conditions, and on what that rests (tried in game, or read in the source). - MDL3 installs for Chinese user names. The native part was refused when
the Windows user name had Chinese characters. Its DLL now goes to
%ProgramData%\HD2 Mod Quick Deploy\MDL3when the game cannot load it from
MDL3's own folder; MDL3's other files stay where they were.
Download
HD2.Mod.Quick.Deploy.exe: the window. Put it in any folder and run it.hd2qd.exe: the command line, optional.HD2.Mod.Quick.Deploy.0.14.0-dev.zip: both, with the license.
Nothing to install: both need only the .NET Framework 4.8 included with
Windows 10 (1903 or later) and 11.
Before you start
- Use one manager for deploying: another manager's deploy undoes this one's.
- Do not edit a deployed patch file in place: it is the library's own file.
