HD2 Mod Quick Deploy 0.14.1 (developer build)
A mod manager for Helldivers 2 that deploys incrementally with hard links: a
typical deploy takes 0.13–0.29 s and writes no mod data. It also
settles conflicts resource by resource and looks after the Lua mod loaders.
This is a developer build: it has no Nexus Mods integration (no sign-in,
no Mod Manager Download button, no Nexus update checks). Everything else is in
it. Its own update check also counts pre-releases like this one.
New since 0.14.0
- What each loader can do is read from its code where possible. Boot Mod
Loader's guest start-up scripts and its hand-off to Chef Shared Loader, and
Chef's acceptance of that hand-off, are recognised by the code that does
them, not only by version numbers. MDL3's code is obfuscated, so for MDL3 its
version still decides. - One set of rules for the loaders. The deploy, the checks of which Lua mods
start, the command line and the Lua loaders page now all follow the same
rules, so the compatibility table can no longer say something the deploy
does not do. - The compatibility table is shorter: loaders, whether they can be used
together, and how. The basis column is gone. - Fix: a Chef Shared Loader older than 1.2.0, which cannot take the hand-off,
is no longer deployed beside Boot Mod Loader.
New in 0.14.0
- MDL3 beside Boot Mod Loader: MDL3 is deployed too and runs as Boot Mod
Loader's guest when a mod on uses its audio or data. - MDL3 in Chef Shared Loader's place: MDL3 3.0.0-dev.22 and later run the
mods made for Chef themselves (without what they draw on the screen, for now). - Compatibility between loaders on the Lua loaders page.
- MDL3 installs for Chinese user names.
Download
HD2.Mod.Quick.Deploy.exe: the window. Put it in any folder and run it.hd2qd.exe: the command line, optional.HD2.Mod.Quick.Deploy.0.14.1-dev.zip: both, with the license.
Nothing to install: both need only the .NET Framework 4.8 included with
Windows 10 (1903 or later) and 11.
Before you start
- Use one manager for deploying: another manager's deploy undoes this one's.
- Do not edit a deployed patch file in place: it is the library's own file.
