Voice typing leaves what you dictated on the clipboard again. Press ⌘V / Ctrl+V anywhere afterwards and it pastes the dictation again. No more clicking Copy on the overlay before it fades.

The dictation stays on the clipboard (#616)

  • After a dictation is typed into the field, the text also stays on the clipboard as an ordinary copy, and the confirmation now says "Inserted and copied".
  • The Copy button on the confirmation is gone. If the paste landed nowhere (no text field had focus), the dictation is still one paste away.
  • Clipboard managers such as Maccy, Raycast or Paste now list dictations like any other copy.
  • If you liked getting your previous clipboard back after each dictation, choose Settings → Voice typing → Clipboard → Restore. That brings back the behaviour from 0.33 and 0.34.
