AppAlibi 0.2.0
AppAlibi now also records when macOS grants an app administrator rights: admin password prompts, software installs, changes to background services and system settings.
- New Admin tab in the history window, with the same filters, search and CSV export as the other tabs.
- New notification in Settings: "Administrator rights", every time an app is allowed to make such a change. Off by default.
- Grants still in the macOS log are imported the first time 0.2.0 runs.
- Clear names for more permissions in the Permissions tab (iCloud Drive, Home, Personal Voice, Passkeys and others) instead of internal codes.
- Polish translation fixes.
Only granted rights are recorded: macOS does not log which app a refused request came from.
- Requires macOS 15 or later.
- Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
- Open the disk image and drag AppAlibi to Applications.
Everything stays on your Mac. AppAlibi reads the macOS log and never sends it anywhere.
