Requirements
| WordPress | 6.0 or newer (tested to 7.0) |
| PHP | 7.4 or newer |
What changed
Login page no longer emits PHP warnings on a fresh install.
cdc_login_settings is created as an empty array on activation, and get_option() only falls back to its default when the option is absent entirely — so the 30 default keys were never applied, and the login page produced 16 Undefined array key warnings on every render. The stored value is now merged over the defaults with wp_parse_args(). Settings you have already saved still take precedence.
The _load_textdomain_just_in_time notice on WordPress 6.7+ is gone.
CDC_Settings built its translated tab labels in the constructor, which runs on plugins_loaded — before init. Labels are now built on first use, from the admin callbacks that consume them.
Verification
Measured on WordPress 7.1 / PHP 8.4 with WP_DEBUG_LOG on, across the login page, all seven settings tabs and WP-CLI: 52 logged error lines before, 0 after. Confirmed separately that partially populated settings still override the defaults rather than being overwritten by them.
Notes
If you run 1.6.1 and your debug.log is noisy on every login-page view, this is the release that quiets it.
