New Features

  • Added optional colored console logging, so trace/debug/info/warn/error/fatal can also print readable logs to stderr during development (config.consoleLog = .auto/.enabled/.disabled) 🎨 (03bea9d, 71c6cd5).
  • Added built-in OTLP gRPC exporters for traces, logs, and metrics on gRPC Swift v2, so exports no longer rely on the older exporter path (14b29fb).

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed gRPC timeout handling for edge cases like NaN, infinity, and tiny values, which prevents invalid or immediate timeout behavior (d050b28, 79eda1f).
  • Improved shutdown reliability by draining the background gRPC client task before canceling and safely handling connection-loop errors (504a0cf, 01498f7).

Improvement

  • Updated core telemetry stack versions (including gRPC Swift v2 and OpenTelemetry Swift 3.0.0) and aligned docs/dependency pins for a more stable setup (14b29fb, 0c7acbf, 2fbe877, ac0fec5).
  • Console output now flushes stderr immediately, so redirected logs appear without delay (704988f).

Breaking Changes

  • Minimum Apple platform targets were raised to macOS 15+ and iOS 18+, so apps targeting older Apple OS versions must stay on earlier SignozSwift releases (14b29fb).
