WinOwner MCP is an authenticated local Windows MCP service for coding, Git operations, file management, desktop workflows and unattended task execution.

This public-source release is a clean, independent, single-commit snapshot. It does not include the original private development history or production credentials.

How to install

Read README and Installation Guide. You must configure your own local OAuth and tunnel. No live credentials, owner grant or preconfigured ChatGPT connector is shipped.

• Windows Python 3.12 compile and installer dry-run verified.
• 50 focused pytest cases plus 49 subtests passed in release staging.
• Gitleaks v8.30.1 on clean Git history: zero findings; synthetic security fixtures have explicit inline suppressions.
• GitHub Actions: public source guard, version-pinned Gitleaks and Windows security baseline.

Security

Use a dedicated local operator account, bind services to loopback and keep privileged access disabled until configured. Review Security Policy before enabling remote control. This is prerelease software and no independent certification or guaranteed clean-machine deployment is claimed.
